Dear friends,
after some time of consideration, I have resolved to found a new group, which would be dedicated to surrealism (and dadaism, magic realism etc. too). Initially I wanted to name it simply "Surreality", but the name had already been used somehow, so I came up with the definitive name "Dissect the Reality" (the meaning of the name can be found between the lines of the group description). Here is the link to the group

I think I should explain why did I found a new surrealist group, even though there are already plenty of groups with the word "surreal" contained in their names here on deviantART. You may think my motives were simply of egocentric kind, but this time it is not the case The primary reason is my long-time frustration about the state of those (quazi-)surreal groups around here and (which is even more devastating) the dA-omnipresent misconception about surrealism and the surreal in general.
The problem with the surreal groups is that they are either inactive (or restricted to 1 submission a month or so) or simply not surrealistic in the strict/original sense of the word... at least as I understand it . It would be worth a separate article (which I'll maybe write), but to mention just the most striking misdemeanours:

It would be worth a separate article (which I'll maybe write), but to mention just the most striking misdemeanours:
- blending surrealism with fantasy, sci-fi etc.
- considering any photomanipulation surrealistic
- deluge of kitsch, worst clichés and uninspired banalities
- lack of really authentic, strong, subversive, inspired and mind-provoking works
Well, this is all I want to say now I hope the group will not be a short-lived one, I will do my best to keep it active. Everybody is welcome to visit or join the group, I will only have to set the "submissions policy" (but there will definitely be some confirmation, although it may render the group a bit elitist ).
So this is it, thank you for your attention
Yours,
Petr
My own website launched!
Hello everybody!
After more than a month of development I finally managed to finish and release my personal web/portfolio to the public. It is also my first completed webdesign project. The site is running on Wordpress, but the theme is of my own provenience, designed and coded from scratch. So if you are interested, here is the link :)

DeviantArtist Questionnaire
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
I've been a passive member since 2006, but it was only in March 2013 when I posted my first deviation.
What does your username mean?
I hope it describes the nature of my art. Entropic because everything tends to decay, disintegrate... in the end chaos prevails. Mysteries because everything could be viewed as a little mystery or wonder. By the way, the two words seem to be in some kind of contradiction (which can be creative).
Describe yourself in three words.
neurotic, thoughtful, skeptical ...three words are not enough :)
Are you left or right handed?
I am right handed.
